20th Anniversary Announcement
First Trailer
During the 20th Anniversary event, the first Kingdom Hearts IV trailer was shown, featuring the new Quadratum, and concept gameplay.
The announcement trailer was showcased during the Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary Celebration, along with the now cancelled Missing Link. The trailer showed the event space of the 20th Anniversary event and a Large Darkside forming outside it. We saw Sora's new outfit and were introduced to Strelitzia.
A brief forest shot with what looked like an AT-ST leg is also seen.
The trailer ends with Sora running towards the Darkside, using his keyblade chain to grapple to objects and then use the new Build mechanic to create a drill from a block.
It was confirmed that this trailer was made in Unreal Engine 4 using the KHIII base to showcase what the game will look like and does not represent actual gameplay. The final project had started early development in Unreal Engine 5.
