Keyblade wielder who has been an strong ally and enemy.
Lea grew up in Radiant Garden along with his good friend Isa. They would break into Ansem the Wise's castle and visit a girl in the dungeon known only as Subject X. You can view her page under Lore for more details. One day the girl disappeared, so Lea and Isa became apprentices of Ansem the Wise to learn more. Shortly after Terranort took over the castle and turn all of Ansem's apprentices into Heartlesss.
Axel was then born, containing the memories of Lea, he and Isa (who just became Saïx) joined the Organization XIII in hopes of regaining there hearts, and finding Subject X. While in the Organization Saïx and Axel grew more distant as Axel became closer to Roxas and Xion. He acted as a guide for them often helpgin them on missions and explaining how the Organization worked. He knew more about the nature of Roxas and Xion and the Organization's goals then they even knew. He kept information from them to keep them safe.
Axel is somewhat mischievous and is a knowledge seeker. He was sent to Castle Oblivion to learn who among the Organization were traitors. He worked behind the scenes to take out Vexen, and keep Sora safe from the coup attempt. This is likely to help the organization preserve their goals of using Xion to take Sora's memories, but could also be because he reckognized the connection Sora had to Roxas and Xion. He is the only Organization member to survive Castle Oblivion
Around the time that Xion left the Organization, Axel was assigned to bring her back. After a few fights and her ultimate capture leading to her death. He like everyone else forgot she existed. He then tried to stop Roxas from returning to Sora. He was the final obstacle between Roxas and Sora. After Sora was restored, Axel toed the line between Organization's orders and bringing Roxas back. He captured Kairi in hopes of drawing Sora out. He planned to turn Sora into a heartless again to restore Roxas. As he became more disallusioned with the Organization, he left and realized that the only person who made him feel like he had a heart was Sora. The same feelings he had with Roxas. He helps Sora defeat a horde of Nobodies and dies.
Upon dying as a Nobody. Lea was restored with all of Axel's memories. He meats other members of the Organization who are restored around the same time. He decides to go look for the missing members of Xehanort, Braig and Isa. On his journey he comes across and saves Mickey and Minnie from Maleficent and joins them at the Mysterious Tower. He decides to train under Yen Sid to become a Keyblade Wielder. Eventually Sora who is travelling the worlds of dreams is captured by Xehanort. Just before Xehanort can turn Sora into a vessel, Lea appears and saves Sora. After this whole ordeal, he is finally able to summon a Keyblade.
During KHIII, he is largely training with Kairi in a special realm outside time. He is one of the 7 original Guardians of Light and fights alongside everyone else at the Keyblade Graveyard. His memories of Xion help restore her to her former self. At last Lea, Xion and Roxas are together again all with completed hearts.
Lea has not been confirmed to be in KHIV as of now.
