Missing-Link (Cancelled)
Cancelled | Playtesting information
A cancelled story set in Scala ad Caelum between Union χ and Dark Road.
Missing-Link was set in Scala ad Caelum during the Blank Era, after the events of Union χ and before Xehanort's youth in Dark Road. It was meant to follow a new Keyblade wielder and explore the history of the city founded by Ephemer. The revealed material also connected it to Brain and Sigurd, who meet at the end of Union χ.
Development was cancelled in May 2025. Trailers and public tests showed part of the setting and opening, but the full story was never released. It is very likely that the story of the game will be included in Kingdom Hearts IV in some capacity.
