Heartless
Born from the Darkness in people's hearts
Heartless are beings born from the darkness within people's hearts. They can be born from when someone loses their heart, or can be manifested from the malice, sorrow, or hatred within an individuals heart. They are the primary enemies fought against throughout the series. They often trap lost hearts.
They come in three forms that we have seen
Pureblood
Pureblood heartless are naturally born, they come from the Realm of Darkness and other places of intense darkness. They are often simple in shapes and have a more uniform dark color.
Emblem
Emblem heartless are artificially created. They often appear in wildly different designs and contain the heartless symbol on their bodies.
Quadratum Variants
In KHIV we see some heartless we have seen before but in a more skeletal realistic manner. For purposes of distiguishing we will call these Qudratum Variants. It is unclear if thier nature is any different.
Special Heartless
On occasion a special heartless will be born. A perfect example is that of Ansem Seeker of Darkness, or the Darklings within Union χ. They are usualy born from powerful hearts and retain some humanlike qualities and capabilities
