Nobody
What remains when a person loses their heart
Nobodies are beings formed from the body left behind when a strong-hearted person becomes a Heartless. The person's will allows those remains to act on their own. They are intelligent and capable of following orders, making them more organized opponents than the instinct-driven Heartless.
When a person's Heartless and Nobody are both destroyed, their heart, body, and soul can reunite, restoring the original person. This is how several former Organization members return to being human.
Lesser Nobodies
Most Nobodies take distorted, nonhuman forms, such as Dusks, Assassins, and Dancers. They often have pale, flexible bodies marked with the Nobody emblem. Many serve under members of Organization XIII.
Human Nobodies
People with exceptionally strong hearts can produce Nobodies that retain a human appearance. These include Axel, Xemnas, and Roxas. Most remember their previous lives, although Roxas is an exception. These nobodies initially lack hearts, but can grow new ones through their experiences and connections. Organization XIII concealed this from its members, claiming they needed Kingdom Hearts to become whole.
