KHIII Secret Ending
Connections to Kingdom Hearts IV
Two different post-ending scenes set up the future: Luxu's reunion in the epilogue and the city shown in the secret movie Yozora.
Kingdom Hearts III's epilogue, Lost Masters, reveals that Xigbar is Luxu. He has recovered No Name and brings the black box to a meeting with Ira, Aced, Invi, and Gula. Ava does not appear. Maleficent and Pete watch from a distance, while the chess imagery points toward another contest after Xehanort's defeat with 7 gold pieces representing the Foretellers and Sora as a single Silver piece.
The separate secret movie is titled Yozora. Sora wakes on the pavement in a realistic city, while Riku moves through another part of its urban landscape. Yozora watches from a skyscraper. A black-coated figure raises his hands toward the moon and forms a heart shape which is confirmed to be the Master of Masters.
Re Mind adds a third piece, the Secret Episode, in which Sora actually speaks to and battles Yozora. The battle has two specific endings, one if Sora loses and one if he wins, each revealing something. These cutscenes have many parellels with FFXIII and versus XIII.
- Sora loses - Yozora says that he will save Sora and crystlizes him. Yozora is then shown in the Final World where he then wakes in the back of a car quoting the first line in Kingdom Hearts.
- Sora Wins - Yozora fades after the fight as his powers are not needed yet. Sora is seen in the Final World. We then shift to Yozora in the back of a car where a man who resembls Luxord is driving him. The opening quote of Kingdom Hearts is said by both Sora and Yozora.
