Ventus
Ancient Dandelion · Guardian of light
Ventus is from the Age of Fairytales and lived before the Keyblade War. Darkness possesses him, kills Strelitzia, and places him among the new Union leaders in her stead while suppressing his memories. Ventus later confronts that being and contains it within himself before escaping into the future.
In Birth by Sleep, Xehanort has taken him as an apprentice and extracted the Darkness in his heart. This Darkness gains form and becomes Vanitas. Xehanort sends Ventus to Eraqus in hopes of helping him recover. It is here he meets and becomes close friends with Aqua and Terra.
When the unversed threat appears across the worlds, Aqua, and Terra leave to deal with the threat. Ventus follows. Eventually the party finds themselves in the Keyblade Graveyard where defeating Vanitas prevents Xehanort's attempted forging of the χ-blade, but leaves Ventus's heart damaged and sheltered within Sora.
Aqua protects his sleeping body until KHIII, when Sora returns his heart and awakens him. Ventus fights as one of the 7 Guardians of Light, reunites with Terra and Aqua, and is reunited with his Chirithy.
He later joins his friends' search for Sora in the Realm of Darkness.
